History and architecture

Wat Bo is a working Theravada pagoda on the east bank of the Siem Reap River, not an Angkorian ruin. The monastery is among the oldest in the modern town, and the murals inside the main hall are generally dated to the 19th century. They show the Reamker in the dress and landscape of that period. There is no Angkor Pass check. Cover shoulders and knees, take your shoes off at the vihara, and do not photograph people who are praying.
